Film of a great true story
I’m sure maybe I’m behind the curve on this one and everyone has already seen this film. Anyway, my sister and her husband who are out in KwaZulu Natal, SA lent us this DVD last Christmas and we finally got round to watching it last night. But God in his soverign purposes had the timing just right I think!
It’s so powerful to see what a very ordinary working man can become in the hands of God. It’s a true story and on the second DVD in the box there are also recent interviews with Angus Buchan and other key characters in the story, as well as footage of his work that continues as we speak I think. So we see real faith in action in a powerful way. As he says “it’s not ability but availability” that counts for God.
I wouldn’t want to spoil the story but it’s packed with heart wrenching drama!
