We’ve spiritualized mediocrity!

Been at the 2008 Global Leaders Conference yesterday and was excellent!

Gary Haugen spoke on ‘Charging the Darkness’ – on Leading when the task seems hopeless, scary, and difficult.

He said as leaders we need to lead people where it’s absolutely not safe to go without God. (He’s a lawyer who set up the International Justice Mission which rescues slaves from all the darkest places in our world)

Also talked of how in our climate controlled Christian cul-de-sacs we’ve even spiritualized mediocrity. But it wasn’t always like that apparently. As Christians we need to lead the way in doing things excellently. Did anyone else go on this? Thoughts welcome.
